Day two started off kind of late for us. We didn't get there until around 5! We were so wiped out and we weren't desperate to see Fitz and the Tantrums or The Naked and The Famous so we skipped them to sleep in. I had a fit at the security check in because they didn't want to let me bring in my perfume rollerball because it was glass. I understand safety but they were not throwing out my Flowerbomb rollerball. Got it in after showing my not so nice side. Lol.Oh I also saw Disclosure but I forgot to take pictures. They played in the Gotham Tent which does a great job of sheilding from the sun but for some reason is more drab than all the other stages.

It was boiling so I'm wore practically nothing and still melted. I was most excited today for Childish Gambino who is currently my favorite rapper. His performance had amazing energy and the crowd vibes with him all the way through regardless so the tempo!

Skrillex was amazing! Arguably the best performance I've seen...ever. Like forever ever. The light show was amazing and there were thousands and thousands of people jumping and dancing for two hours. I felt so happy and carefree and part of this amazing blissful experience. I know that sounds real hippie, but it was just so good. Day two was a success! So ready/not ready for day three/it to be over.

Day 1 of Governor's Ball. I've never been to a music festival before so I wasn't sure what to expect. We got there around 12:15 and it was still relatively empty. The check in process was slightly annoying, it was a bit too invasive in my opinion. You can't even bring in a zoom lens, which they were nice about this time and I did(admittedly) try to sneak it in but I was told it was a no go tomorrow. To get there we walked the 103rd street footbridge path which was a 20 minute walk which was so beautiful and pleasant, but definitely a bitch to walk back at nighttime.

On to the festival. By time The 1975 were on, there were a couple thousand people. After the set was done I realized there were more than a several thousand. I'm guessing around 20,000 but I don't know for sure. It was packed and during Outkast people were literally skin to skin.

The only acts I have pictures for are the 1975 and Outkast. The 1975 were AMAZING, like so so good. They didn't play Menswear, my favorite song, but I'll let it slide as they rocked the stage regardless. They're the reason I bought the tickets to Governor's Ball. I really enjoyed their set. I also saw Bastille which was a very dry set sadly, and Phoenix which were so energetic and had the entire venue jumping even if you didn't know who they were(I did but you know what I mean). I wanted to see La Roux but because of the timing and the distance of the stages, I had to do some sacrificing and La Roux didn't make the cut. I also split with my friends for The 1975 because they wanted to see Janelle Monae and it was at the same time. It's something thats unavoidable but still a bit of a bummer.

Outkast were the headliners for the festival day. They performed live for great first time in 8 years and they didn't disappoint. The set was full of energy and Andre and Big Boi ran around like they were 20 years old! I'm so glad I saw them live, it made my sore feet and aching calf all worth it. I totally stood for 80% of the day and I was kinda struggling to not complain about aching feet but I enjoyed myself so much and am so excited for Day 2!

Essie 'A List'

Essie 'A List"

I adore a good red nail. I don't know why but it makes me feel sexy. Now I know we're dead in the middle of May and a blood red color is not exactly "in", but who follows rules nowadays? A List is so freaking pretty and makes me feel put together even if I look like crap. It's a cream finish, but honestly that's nothing new as creams are my favorite. I cant be bothered with subtle shimmer. It's full on glitter or cream for me! I prefer it to brighter reds mainly because to me this is a classic color and looks great no matter what you're wearing. It isn't too blue, or too brown toned, which I can sometimes hate in red polishes. It's always my pick when I don't know what polish to choose.

Do you guys have a color you wear all year long?

Good Advice

Dress: Forever21 | Boots: H&M | Bag: Zara

Are you the type of person who gives amazing advice, but can't take your own? Yupp, that's me. it's hard to be in a situation in which you're so unsure, and you know what you can do to change it, but you just don't. It sucks but I'm working on it. I want to be more impulsive(within reason) and do things that make me happy. That's my goal from today on out!!

How do you guys work through tough decisions? What are your current goals?
